How to Check if an AliExpress Supplier Is Trustworthy: 8-Point Checklist

Product Scout team · 2026-10-05

The same product is often sold by dozens of AliExpress stores at different prices. The cheapest store is not always the best one. Use this checklist before every first order.

The 8 checks

  1. Seller rating 95%+ (or 4.5★ and above on the product).
  2. Enough orders and photo reviews. Real buyer photos show the real product and packaging.
  3. Shipping time and “Ships from”. A local or regional warehouse means faster delivery.
  4. Coupons, coins and Bundle Deals. Buying several items together often lowers the price per piece.
  5. Buyer Protection window. Note the date by which you can open a dispute if the order does not arrive.
  6. Ask for a bulk discount. Many sellers give a better price for 10+ pieces — just message them.
  7. Order a sample and check quality yourself.
  8. Blind shipping for dropshipping: ask the seller not to put invoices or their logo in the box.

Watch out for “new shopper” prices

AliExpress often shows a much lower price to first-time buyers. That price is not what you will pay on the second order, so do not use it for your profit math. Product Scout marks these prices with a warning.

Let the Trust score do the first pass

In the Supplier Database every supplier gets a Trust score (0–100) with the reasons shown: rating, orders and Choice on AliExpress; years in business, Verified, Gold Supplier, Trade Assurance and reply rate on Alibaba. Save the best ones to your tracker, and each saved supplier gets this 8-point checklist — when all 8 are ticked it shows ✅ Ready.
